The South River in Georgia stretches 63.5 miles through several counties. It's history is filled with years of abuse and pollution. As a result it has a negative image among locals, many of whom avoid it. The South River is for most Atlantans out of sight and out of mind. The South River Watershed Alliance (SRWA) (an organization with the mission to protect and restore the water quality and bio-diversity of the South River) has joined forces with the Lighthouse Foundation (an organization that provides vision services for the under served and uninsured) to get more eyes on the river. An increase in the use of the river, increases its chances of being restored.

The 20/20 Vision campaign to be launched in 2020 ( a year of clear sight), seeks to help the community re-envision it's community spaces along the South River beginning in Atlanta with Panola Shoals or as the Brighthouse intern team have renamed it #AtlantasBestBeach
